Councillor Performance - April 2010 Update

I did this analysis last month and I have now updated the stats since there have been another 3 full council meetings since then.

The following tables show attendance at the full council meeting, from May 2009 to date.
The results have been colour coded to highlight Good attendance (over 80%), Average attendance (over 67%) with anything less being Poor attendance.

This first table shows attendance by individual Councillor:

This second table shows attendance by Political Group:

This third table shows attendance by Ward:

Bottom of the table again is Newton's councillor Susan Waller Thomas who could only turn up for 7 out of 18 council meeting last year. She is then closely followed by Penyrheol's councillor Alan Jopling and Lib Dem parliamentary candidate for Swansea East, Rob Speht who both managed to drag themselves down to the council chamber only 8 times last year.

  1. Sue Waller Thomas is nursing her seriously ill husband.

Excellent view of how our 'Paid' Councillors are attending and representing us. I wonder if it would change if they were paid by how many meetings attended, not just those juicy expenses but their annual salary. Gosh did I say Salary!!!!! How Much!!!!!
