Same old crap from Holley

It's that time of year again when Swansea Council decide on their budget for the next year. The council opens the purse and notices it is only full of penny's and IOU's. But Holley and his crew can't foot the blame, who can they point the finger at for the shit that they are in?

The blame is directed at the Welsh Assembly Government by Holley calling it a "very, very poor settlement ...... of just 1.9%".

But hang on, we've heard this bullshit from Holley before.
Let's rewind to January 2009, when Holley once again blamed the Assembly for that years 3% settlement.

But even last year, you got a sense of Déjà vu with his comments. In November 2007 he complained that the council was being short changed by the Assembly, because they were only getting 2.3%.

You can even go back to November 2005 to hear the same moans from the Council. Not Holley this time, but his old friend Rene who was then the deputy cabinet minister for finance moaning about the 5% they would be getting from thr Assembly.

The thing is Councillor Chris, we're all sick of listening to your bullshit and excuses. You've blown the budget every year on hair-brained and unwanted schemes - the bendy bus, the civic centre, ripping up The Kingsway. Yet now you want to turn off the lights around the city, close care homes, make cuts at schools and increase parking charges. And let's not forget the huge amount of cash you need to throw at social services now after Wendy managed to fuck up the department.
