Well Done Ospreys

A great win for the Ospreys out in Dublin this evening saw them crowned Magners League Champions for 2009-10.

It's been a long tough season and after a slow start to the year they gradually picked up momentum.
Off the field it's been difficult with on-going Henson saga, the investigation for the 16th man, the investigation over Ricki Januarie, Johnno's health scare and then the big fine for postposing the Ulster game.

I've managed to get to almost all the games this season and the performances have got better over the season and their strength in depth has really shown. Crowds have been disappointing and you have to give credit to the Ospreys marketing team to try to get more bums on seats. Unfortunatley they are up against the need to satisfy BBC Wales and S4C coverage and the resulting shitty kick off times.
When all parties involved in rugby through the 3 (soon to be 4) nations decide to make some concessions and move rugby back to 2.30pm on a Saturday afternoon, then the crowds shall return.

Congratulations Ospreys, Magners League Champions 2009-10.
